St. Petersburg’s “Passengeravtotrans” has launched a tender to find a contractor for designing a new bus depot in the “Kamenka” zone. The project, situated slightly northeast of the Gorsky Highway and Ring Road intersection, aims to expand the city’s transportation infrastructure.
The tender, announced recently, has a starting cost of 176 million rubles. The selected contractor must complete the design work by November 24, 2026.
The bus depot will cover an area of 120,000 square meters. It is planned to accommodate 400 buses, with a 50/50 split between diesel and compressed natural gas vehicles.
This project aligns with “Passengeravtotrans”‘s ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet and facilities. Another depot, designed for 400 electric buses, is currently under construction in Rzhevka, with the initial phase expected to be finished this year. The company is actively procuring new buses, including both electric and diesel models, supported by substantial contracts and federal subsidies.
