SKA Hockey Club has acquired defenseman Brennan Menell from Moscow Dynamo in a trade. In return, goalkeeper Stanislav Berezhnoy and defender Timur Kol are heading to Moscow Dynamo.
The 28-year-old Menell brings significant KHL experience to SKA, having played five seasons in the league. He previously played for Minsk and Moscow Dynamo.
Throughout his KHL career, Menell has been a productive player, accumulating 153 points (20 goals and 133 assists) in 230 games. He also won the Continental Cup.
SKA expressed gratitude to Berezhnoy and Kol for their contributions and wished them well in their future endeavors. Menell received best wishes for a successful pre-season and a strong performance with the team.
Menell’s arrival marks the second addition to the team under the leadership of new head coach Igor Larionov, following the earlier signing of defenseman Trevor Murphy.
