Six Thousand Fans Attend Media League Match at FC Ural Academy Stadium

SindEkat defeated Lit Energy in a thrilling Winline Media League quarterfinal return match held at the FC Ural academy stadium, concluding with a 2:1 series score and a 3:1 victory in penalties and shootouts. The match drew a crowd of approximately six thousand spectators. The home team’s victory sparked a jubilant pitch invasion by Ural fans eager to celebrate with their athletes.

The Media League features teams composed of well-known media figures, including bloggers, actors, musicians, and other celebrities. SindEkat’s roster included athletes such as Dmitry Arapov, Terry Toche, Artemy Dorozhinsky, and Chisamba Lungu. Lit Energy featured players like Semyon Morozov, Ivan Spichka, and Nikita Suleimanov.

As the team is from the Urals, SindEkat enjoyed strong support from its local fanbase, who filled most of the stands, while Lit Energy had a smaller contingent of supporters. A significant portion of the audience consisted of children and teenagers, many of whom created posters to show their support for their favorite players.

Media football matches follow specific rules, including two 25-minute halves of net time, one-minute timeouts for each team per half, and the option for each team to use a “red (bonus) ball” once per game, with goals scored using the bonus ball counting for two points. A “bulitality” – a combination of shootouts and penalties – decides the outcome in the event of a draw.
