Six Injured in Kursk Attack Receiving Treatment, Governor Visits

Following an attack on a Kursk beach that resulted in fatalities and injuries, six individuals are currently hospitalized in the Kursk Regional Hospital. The acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, visited the injured on the night of July 9.

Doctors have assessed three of the wounded, including a child, as being in serious condition. These patients were prepared for surgery, which was reported to be successful.

The attack, which occurred on the beach in Kursk, resulted in the death of three men, including an employee of the Russian Guard, and injuries to seven others, including a 5-year-old boy. The victims sustained shrapnel wounds and burns of varying degrees.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that 5-year-old Anatoly shielded his mother during the attack. He is currently in intensive care with severe burns. Plans are underway to transfer Anatoly and his mother to Moscow for further treatment.

Another injured individual was passing by the beach when he heard screams and rushed to help. He was injured when ammunition detonated.

A senior sergeant of the Russian Guard, responding to reports of a drone attack, proceeded to the beach to evacuate people. He was fatally wounded in a second explosion and will be nominated for a state award.

In addition to the attack in Kursk, drones also targeted Rylsk on July 8. The infectious diseases building of the Rylsk Central District Hospital, the ambulance building, and the administrative building of ZAO “Agrofirma Rylskaya” were struck. Two women sustained injuries in those attacks.
