A shooting incident on Yuzhnoye Shosse in St. Petersburg’s Frunzensky district resulted in the detention of three men. The incident occurred the night before, prompting a resident to report the disturbance to the police.
Police officers arriving at the scene apprehended two Azerbaijani citizens and a third man, a naturalized Russian citizen who obtained citizenship in 2019.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a 30-year-old man, who was intoxicated, shot the 29-year-old Russian citizen in the leg during a dispute. The weapon used was identified as a “Grand Power” pistol belonging to the third individual.
The victim received medical attention and was released in stable condition. The alleged shooter was taken into custody, and a criminal case has been initiated on charges of hooliganism. Furthermore, an administrative protocol was issued against the owner of the firearm.
