A black cat named Shaman is seeking a new home in Novosibirsk after being rescued from a locked basement in the autumn. The “Cat Kingdom” shelter is currently caring for him and searching for suitable owners.
Shaman was found in a severely emaciated condition in the basement of a building on Kostycheva Street. Tatyana Nikolaeva, head of the shelter, recounted how he was a large cat with a skinny body when rescued.
Following his rescue, Shaman underwent treatment for gastrointestinal issues resulting from his time on the streets. The shelter recommends he continue to receive food formulated for sensitive digestion.
Despite his past hardships, Shaman is described as an incredibly affectionate cat who purrs even during veterinary visits. He enjoys human companionship and readily sits on laps, but he does not get along with other cats.
Shaman has been neutered and tested negative for dangerous infections. The “Cat Kingdom” shelter can be contacted through the VKontakte social network by those interested in adopting him.
