The 7th “Fortolet” family kite festival is scheduled to take take place June 7th and 8th at Fort Konstantin in Kronstadt. Attendees will witness a spectacle of kites of varying sizes and designs, from relatively small 7-meter kites to enormous 30-meter kites.

The event encourages active participation, inviting attendees to bring their own kites. For those without kites, on-site master classes will be available to teach participants how to construct their own “flying machines.” Experienced kite flyers will be present to assist newcomers in learning the fundamentals of kite control.

A main attraction of the festival will be a coordinated performance by the SPB Kites team, featuring the launch of five giant octopus kites. The festival is scheduled to begin at 12:00 and is open to all ages (0+).

This event highlights the ongoing development of the island area of Kronstadt as a burgeoning cultural and social hub.
