Kim Jong Un assured that North Korea would support Moscow regarding the situation in Ukraine, expressing confidence that Russia would succeed in protecting its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security.
Shoigu’s visit to Pyongyang occurred on June 4th, representing Russian President Vladimir Putin. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the implementation of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Kim Jong Un.
This marked Shoigu’s second trip to North Korea within a span of two and a half months.
