Security forces raided a warehouse in Chelyabinsk on June 1st, prompted by reports suggesting it might be a site for assembling drones intended for attacks on Russian regions. The investigation was initiated following concerns raised by war correspondents about the warehouse’s potential involvement in supplying drones to Ukrainian special services for strikes in the Murmansk and Irkutsk regions.
A 74.RU correspondent confirmed the presence of security forces at the warehouse located in the industrial zone on Sverdlovsk tract. Vehicles with military license plates and masked individuals were observed near the building.
Earlier, war correspondent Alexander Kots pointed out that photos from Ukrainian sources showed drones in the warehouse. The photos allowed to identify the location as a potential assembly point for terrorist attacks using trucks. However, it is important to note that authorities are still working to verify the information.
On June 1st, several attacks were carried out using FPV drones targeting airfields in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur regions. In the Irkutsk region, drones were reportedly launched from a truck, while a similar truck in the Amur region did not reach its intended launch location.
