Law enforcement officials conducted searches at the URA.RU news agency’s editorial office in Yekaterinburg on the morning of June 5. According to TASS, the operation was confirmed by law enforcement agencies.
Prior to the searches, two employees, including Sverdlovsk editor Denis Allayarov, were reportedly detained, E1.RU reports from a source.
E1 journalists have been unable to reach editor-in-chief Diana Kozlova or other editorial staff, and have not received any information from law enforcement.
A source from the news portal suggests that the searches might be connected to the March detention of a former police officer who had been providing URA.RU with information from daily official reports.
