Searches were conducted at the Pskov apartment of Lev Shlosberg, the deputy chairman of the Yabloko party and a designated foreign agent, on June 10. The searches are related to a criminal case concerning the discrediting of the Russian Armed Forces.

This action follows previous administrative charges against Shlosberg for discrediting the army in 2024. According to reports, Shlosberg was held administratively liable twice for these violations, which can lead to criminal prosecution.

In addition to the discrediting charge, Shlosberg faces a criminal case for allegedly evading the responsibilities associated with being a foreign agent and for abusing media freedoms. These charges were initially reported in January 2025.

Shlosberg’s apartment was previously searched in October 2024, in connection to a criminal case regarding the evasion of foreign agent obligations, specifically for posting a video online without proper labeling. He has also been implicated in past cases related to discrediting the Armed Forces and misusing freedom of mass information.
