A school bus carrying children overturned in the Khabarovsk Territory on the morning of June 6, resulting in injuries to twelve young passengers. The accident occurred around 11:00 AM in the village of Voronezhskoye-2 on Molodezhnaya Street, according to the regional Investigative Committee.

The bus was en route to the “Priamursky” zoo for an excursion when the incident took place. All twelve injured children were hospitalized with bruises, although authorities have stated that there is no threat to their lives. The degree of harm to their health is currently being established.

Preliminary investigations by the regional prosecutor’s office suggest that a malfunction in the braking system may have been the cause of the accident. Footage from the scene indicates that the bus sustained significant damage.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, concerning the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
