Russian National Team Defeats Belarus in Friendly Match

The Russian national football team secured a decisive 4-1 victory over Belarus in a friendly match held on June 10 at the National Stadium in Minsk.

The standout performer of the match was 22-year-old Yaroslav Gladyshev, a forward for Moscow Dynamo, who scored all four goals for the Russian side. Gladyshev’s impressive performance included a hat-trick achieved within just 33 minutes, setting a new record for the fastest hat-trick in the history of the Russian national team.

Vadim Pigas, a defender, managed to score the only goal for the Belarusian team.

Gladyshev’s four goals came in the 21st, 24th, 33rd, and 52nd minutes of the match. His achievement also marks him as only the third player in the history of the Russian national team to score four or more goals in a single game.

Prior to this match, Gladyshev had only played one previous game for the Russian national team.

The previous record for the fastest hat-trick was held by Vladimir Beschastnykh, who scored three goals in 38 minutes during a 2001 World Cup qualifying match against Switzerland, which ended 4-0.

Zenit defender Yuri Gorshkov played a significant role in Russia’s victory, starting the game and playing for 75 minutes, during which he provided the assist for the first goal.

On June 6, Valery Karpin’s team played a draw against Nigeria.
