Nearly 11,000 Moscow graduates participated in the Unified State Exam (EGE) in physics and social studies on June 2nd. The physics exam is a popular choice for those seeking admission to technical universities.
The physics EGE, lasting 3 hours and 55 minutes, consists of two sections: the first containing 20 multiple-choice questions, and the second requiring detailed answers to 6 problems. Results are expected by June 19th, with a minimum passing score of 36.
Graduates reported no unexpected tasks on the physics exam, with many finding it similar to previously reviewed practice tests. Students expressed optimism despite challenges encountered during the exam.
One graduate, Vladimir, reported completing the exam in approximately 1.5 hours and expressed satisfaction with its similarity to the early-release version. He acknowledged skipping some tasks he didn’t fully understand.
For some students, the physics exam marked the completion of their Unified State Exam. These students now have a brief period of relaxation before university entrance exams commence at the end of June.
Another graduate, Sergey, shared that he worked until the end of the allotted time, drawing on extensive preparation using open-source databases. He expressed relief, as this was his final exam.
Andrey, another graduate, conveyed confidence, stating he approached the exam calmly and without anxiety.
On June 5th, students will take exams in biology, geography, and the written portion of the foreign language exam.
Previous reports indicated that Moscow graduates had already completed the Unified State Exam in Russian, with some students finding the tasks more challenging than anticipated based on practice tests.
The advanced mathematics EGE also drew complaints, with concerns raised about the difficulty level of the exam.
