Nikolai Vyazemsky, known as the “Russian Edward Cullen” for his resemblance to actor Robert Pattinson, has cultivated a successful online presence by capitalizing on his appearance. He gained significant popularity after fans noticed his similarity to the “Twilight” character, leading to a substantial following on social media platforms.
Vyazemsky, who is now 33 years old, actively manages his social media accounts, boasting 326,000 followers on Instagram and over a million on TikTok. He combines blogging with his main job as a video engineer at MATCH-TV, and previously worked as an engineer at a military factory.
The resemblance to Edward Cullen became apparent after the release of the first “Twilight” movie in Russia. He recalls being approached by enthusiastic fans in public, particularly after the third installment of the film series. To maintain his image, Vyazemsky focuses on fitness, skincare, and nutrition, even undergoing blepharoplasty to reduce eyelid swelling. Early in his career, he faced criticism for his appearance before adopting a dedicated self-care routine.
Vyazemsky met a girl who resembles the character of Bella Swan, and they shot joint videos that went viral. He also interacts with international fans, learning languages to communicate with them. He has also been noticed by celebrities. American actor Peter Facinelli, who played Carlisle in “Twilight”, even left a comment under one of Nikolai’s short videos. Furthermore, he once met Elijah Wood, of the Lord of the Rings.
Despite his online success, blogging doesn’t provide enough income for Vyazemsky, who is married with a five-year-old son. He supplements his income through advertising deals with beauty salons, coffee shops, and dental clinics, and even performs as “Edward Cullen” at themed events like weddings.
Vyazemsky recently took a break from streaming due to burnout and hopes to return with new projects after a summer vacation. He aims to create more ambitious content, possibly including a movie, and pursue acting opportunities.
