Russian air defense forces thwarted a series of drone attacks across five regions overnight, according to the Ministry of Defense. A total of 30 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed.
The Rostov region faced the most significant assault, with 15 drones intercepted. Crimea followed with 11 drones downed. The Belgorod region saw two drones destroyed, while the Moscow and Kursk regions each had one drone neutralized.
In the Rostov region, the acting governor, Yury Slyusar, reported that the Millerovo district was targeted. In the village of Sulin, buildings and seven vehicles sustained damage, and a fire erupted. In Millerovo, drone fragments fell, prompting the dispatch of a sapper team for neutralization.
A metal structure supporting a TV signal relay antenna was damaged, leading to transmission disruptions in Millerovo. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the attacks.
Brief flight restrictions were implemented at the Kaluga airport during the night but were lifted in the morning, according to a Rosaviatsia representative.
