Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 102 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones across 11 regions between the evening of June 9 and the morning of June 10. The Ministry of Defense reported these interceptions which included regions such as Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Crimea, Kaluga, Tatarstan, Moscow, Leningrad, Oryol, Kursk, and Smolensk.
The Leningrad region was specifically targeted, with two UAVs being shot down. Governor Alexander Drozdenko confirmed that one drone was downed in the Tosnensky district, and another in the Lomonosovsky district.
As a security measure during the UAV attack, restrictions were imposed on mobile communication and internet access in certain areas of the Leningrad region. Additionally, there were temporary restrictions placed on aircraft arrivals and departures at Pulkovo Airport.
The Bryansk region experienced the highest number of interceptions, with 46 UAVs being shot down. Belgorod followed with 20 interceptions, while Voronezh and Crimea each saw nine UAVs destroyed.
