Russian air defense systems reportedly downed 1,439 drones in the past week, with 907 of those outside the special military operation zone, according to the Ministry of Defense. During this same period, a Ukrainian MiG-29 was also destroyed.

Attacks also resulted in injuries to 117 civilians, including nine children, across various regions of Russia, with nine fatalities reported, according to Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador at Large Rodion Miroshnik.

The Kursk region continues to face attacks, with 300 residents having died since incursions began, stated the regional prosecutor, Alexey Tsukanov. It was also reported that a helicopter carrying Russian President Vladimir Putin was near the area repelling a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack during his visit to the region on May 20.

Recent drone activity includes the reported destruction of 94 drones overnight and in the morning of May 24, followed by another 95 during the day. On May 25, 110 drones were allegedly destroyed overnight, and an additional 51 during the day.

Over the following nights, 96 drones were reportedly intercepted on May 26, 99 on May 27, and nearly 300 UAVs on the night of May 28. Some of these drones were reportedly heading toward Moscow. Debris from a UAV damaged the Elma technology park in Zelenograd. Several houses in the Moscow region were also damaged, and a drone reportedly crashed into a residential building in Moscow.
