President Vladimir Putin has mandated the introduction of a new role, “advisor for education,” in all state and municipal schools across Russia by October 1, 2025. This initiative aims to enhance the educational environment within schools.

The presidential decree, announced on June 16 by TASS, requires the implementation of these advisor positions to foster a more cohesive educational setting. The advisors will specifically focus on bolstering interaction with children’s public associations and aiding in educational activities.

The Ministry of Education and the Rosdetcenter will support regions in establishing these new positions. These departments will provide methodological resources and guidance by July 1 to ensure a smooth integration of the advisors into the school system. The advisors’ responsibilities will include facilitating collaboration between schools and various children’s public organizations to support educational work with students.

The Kremlin will receive annual reports on the progress of this initiative, ensuring accountability and monitoring the effectiveness of the new advisor roles. This introduction signifies a strategic effort to unify and strengthen the educational landscape in Russia’s state and municipal schools.
