The Russian government plans to allocate approximately 4.4 trillion rubles to the updated national project for the space industry by 2036. This significant investment aims to bolster the country’s space program over the next decade.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the proposed allocation during a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects on June 6.
Of the total 4.4 trillion rubles, 1.7 trillion rubles are earmarked for the initial six-year period. This funding will support various activities within the national space project.
The announcement was made during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, highlighting the importance of the space program to the Russian government. The substantial financial commitment underscores Russia’s dedication to advancing its capabilities in space exploration and technology.
