A terrorist attack on a military facility in the Ryazan Region was thwarted by officers of the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia). The perpetrator, who planned to use drones equipped with grenades, was detained.

The incident occurred on June 6, as reported by the agency’s Telegram channel. Rosgvardia officers, while guarding the military facility, detected the suspect preparing the attack using technical surveillance equipment.

During the attempt to apprehend the individual, he resisted arrest and was subsequently “neutralized.” Authorities discovered a converted traumatic pistol loaded with live ammunition on his person.

Bomb disposal experts from the Rosgvardia riot police were called to the scene, where they successfully defused two drones prepared for launch. The drones were equipped with RKG-3 grenades as combat payloads and designed for remote operation.
