A suspect has been apprehended in connection with a jewelry store robbery that took place in the Kemerovo region. The arrest was a joint effort between law enforcement officers from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Kemerovo region and police from the Novosibirsk region.
The incident began when police in Kuzbass received a report of an attack on a jewelry store. Responding officers discovered that an individual had forcibly entered the store and threatened the seller with what appeared to be a pistol. Authorities identified the suspect and determined that he was traveling by car in the direction of Novosibirsk. Traffic police units were deployed, and the suspect’s vehicle was subsequently stopped.

According to Irina Volk, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the seized gold weighed nearly 1.5 kilograms. Additionally, police recovered an unregistered gas pistol that the suspect had hidden in a forest after the robbery, as well as the axe, which he had discarded in a reservoir.
