The “Road to the Russian North” festival will take place in Velsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, from August 1st to 3rd, bringing together motorists, motorcyclists, and caravanners from across Russia.

The event aims to highlight the M8 highway as a significant tourist route, showcasing the unique culture and attractions of the Russian North. Visitors can expect to discover secluded areas, karst caves, authentic northern cuisine, and the rich traditions of the region.

The festival program includes a fair featuring products from local Pomorie artisans, concerts, exhibitions, and guided tours of Velsk.

A highlight of this year’s festival is the inaugural “Wings of the North” event. This will showcase paragliding demonstrations, offer the chance to get a close look at aviation equipment, and provide opportunities for taking memorable photos.
