A road rage incident involving gunfire occurred on the Rezh highway on June 5th, instigated by the driver of a Lada Granta. The incident involved a woman from the Urals and her cousin, who were targeted after the Lada Granta driver overtook and cut off their vehicle near the Rezh stele.

The aggressive driver exited his car armed with a gun and began firing shots at the feet of the Ural residents. He demanded to see the car’s documents and the driver’s license, as captured in a video recorded by the victims.

Eyewitness accounts reveal the driver’s erratic behavior. The driver can be heard yelling, “Let’s go, we’ll get on the highway and play. I didn’t catch up to you for no reason,” in the video. A witness reported that the man appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The witness stated that the driver started cutting them off with his hazard lights on and forcing them to stop. When they stopped and the witness exited the car, the Lada driver produced a gun and attempted to shoot at him. When the gun initially malfunctioned, he reloaded and then fired at the witness’s feet.

Eyewitnesses also noted that the driver had a Wagner PMC tattoo on his hand. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. The victims have filed a police report. The Rezh police have been contacted for comment, and updates will be provided as information becomes available.
