The restoration of a collapsed retaining wall on Ippodromskaya Magistral in Novosibirsk is scheduled for 2026. The Department of Road Improvement Complex of the Novosibirsk Mayor’s Office announced the plan.

Prior to the restoration, an inspection of all retaining walls on Ippodromskaya Magistral will be conducted in 2025. MKU “Gormost” has signed a contract worth 8.7 million rubles for this purpose.

The contract was awarded to the Siberian State University of Railway Engineering (SGUPS). University specialists will conduct an instrumental survey of seven sections of retaining walls on the section from Budagova Square to Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street, according to the mayor’s office.

The retaining wall on Ippodromskaya Street collapsed on April 21 at approximately 05:00 in the area of 49 Gogol Street. Following the collapse, the prosecutor’s office initiated an inspection.
