The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Omsk Region is conducting a pre-investigation check, including under the article on negligence, following reports of an assault on a resident of the Krutinsky boarding house for the elderly and disabled. This check will include a legal assessment of the actions of the man involved, as well as the employees of the administration of the social service institution.

The incident came to light after a video surfaced on the Telegram channel “Incident Omsk” showing a man attacking an elderly resident. The footage depicts the man assuming a fighting stance before proceeding to strike the pensioner.

The video, filmed from the side, appears to have been recorded in a bathroom, with a bathtub and sink visible. The Telegram channel “Incident Omsk” reported that one of the residents had established his own rules within the boarding house, allegedly beating elderly residents due to the indifference of the staff.

Prior to this incident, there was a report of a man and a woman attacking a pensioner in Novosibirsk on Tatyana Snezhina Street.
