Rescuers in St. Petersburg discovered an injured owl during a routine check of the fire water supply system and provided it with immediate care. The bird, found with a damaged wing and feathers soiled with fuels and lubricants, was struggling to move.

The owl was spotted by firefighters from the 50th fire and rescue unit while they were conducting a scheduled tour of the district. Recognizing the severity of the bird’s condition, the team carefully wrapped it in a blanket

The owl was then transported to veterinarians for further treatment and rehabilitation. The ringed owl is now in the care of professionals who will assess its injuries and provide the necessary medical attention to aid in its recovery.
