New requests for quotations have been announced for all new stages of seasonal landscaping at Yakornaya Square, following a cancellation last year. The Center for Integrated Improvement has initiated three procedures for stages 3, 4, and 5, totaling approximately 24 million rubles.
Previously, documentation was released for the first two stages, valued at 19.5 million rubles. The landscaping project envisions various planters showcasing diverse flora, including apple trees, hawthorn, thuja, Glauca Globosa blue spruce, hydrangea, weeping birch, and Lamarck’s serviceberry shrubs, alongside annual plants.
The technical specifications also encompass the installation of benches and small architectural forms. The temporary garden is slated for completion by June 11 and dismantling in October.
In 2023, a garden was established on Yakornaya Square at a cost of around 52.7 million rubles. However, a 74 million ruble contract was terminated the previous year due to the contractor’s failure to meet the delivery deadline.
In 2025, similar “transformer gardens” are planned for Isaakievskaya Square, Universitetskaya Embankment, and Moskovskaya Square.
