A bridge collapse on the A-240 highway near Bryansk has resulted in injuries, including a critically injured five-month-old child. The incident occurred on the night of June 1, 23 km from Bryansk on the road to Belarus.

Authorities have confirmed that a passenger train was also affected by the collapse. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that there were injuries but did not elaborate.

Emergency services are currently at the scene, and an investigation is underway. The Transport Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident as a result of “illegal interference with the operation of transport.”

The injured infant, approximately five to six months old, has been hospitalized in serious condition. Further details about the extent of other injuries are not yet available.
