Novosibirsk’s oldest heating networks, primarily located on the left bank of the city, are slated for renovation. The Novosibirsk City Hall has identified specific locations where modernization efforts will be focused.
The Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services has pinpointed the heating networks on Petropavlovskaya and Novogodnyaya streets, originally installed in 1963, as being among the oldest. Networks on Serafimovicha Street (1970) and Oboronnaya Street (1977) are also included in the list.
These particular heating mains are scheduled for modernization as part of a program in 2025.
The oldest heating network, which originates from CHPP-1 (Heat and Power Plant No. 1) and extends along Serebrennikovskaya Street, underwent technical upgrades in 2022.
Approximately 9 billion rubles will be allocated to improve the heating system in Novosibirsk, representing a 40% increase compared to the previous year’s investment.
