Release Date of Andrzej Sapkowski’s New Book Postponed

The release of Andrzej Sapkowski’s highly anticipated new book, “The Crossroads of Ravens,” has been delayed until September 30th, according to an announcement from publisher AST on June 16th.

The publisher stated that the postponement was made “at the author’s request.”

The book, the first new installment featuring the witcher Geralt since 2013, will be available in Russia concurrently with its English-language release.

Simultaneous with the printed edition, electronic and audio versions of “The Crossroads of Ravens” will also be released.

Information regarding pre-order dates will be shared at a later time.

AST secured the rights to publish “The Crossroads of Ravens” on March 5th, with initial plans to have the book in Russian stores by April 2025.

Readers have been anticipating the book since 2023, when Sapkowski announced its planned release in Poland by the end of 2024, followed by international release in early 2025.

Earlier this year, a controversy arose concerning the book’s cover art, with fans accusing the publisher of using artificial intelligence, which they believed resulted in a low-quality image.

The publisher denied these claims, stating that the cover was created by one of their artists, and pledged to improve the details.

The new cover design has not yet been revealed.

The plot of “The Crossroads of Ravens” revisits Geralt’s early years, depicting his departure from Kaer Morhen as he begins his life among humans.
