Teenage Birthday Party Turns Deadly in Baikalsk

A horrific incident in Baikalsk, Irkutsk region, saw a teenager allegedly stab his friends at a birthday party on the night of May 28. Four teenagers died at the scene, and four others were hospitalized with various injuries. The suspected attacker also perished in a fire that he reportedly started. The incident occurred in the “Gorny Baikal” gardening community, where nine teenagers, aged 13 to 17, were celebrating a birthday without adult supervision.

Explosion Kills Deputy Mayor in Stavropol

In Stavropol, an explosion in the courtyard of a residential building claimed the lives of two individuals on the night of May 29. The victims were identified as Zaur Gurtiev, the first deputy mayor of Stavropol and a veteran, along with an acquaintance. An improvised explosive device was detonated, and authorities are investigating the incident, including the possibility of a terrorist act.

Railway Tracks Targeted in Belgorod and Kursk Regions

Emergencies unfolded on railway tracks in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. A road bridge collapsed on the Pilshino-Vygonichi railway section in the Bryansk region, causing a train to crash and derail. Seven people died, including the train driver and two children, with 71 others injured. Shortly after, a bridge collapsed in the Kursk region as a freight train was passing over it. Additionally, an explosion occurred on the Unecha-Zhecha section in the Bryansk region, damaging railway tracks.

Drone Attack in Siberia Marks New Escalation

For the first time, the Irkutsk region experienced a drone attack. Drones targeted a military unit in the village of Sredny, Usolsky district, and an old building in Novomaltinsk, resulting in a large fire. The drones were reportedly launched from a truck. No casualties have been reported among civilians.
