Recalculation of Football Players’ Market Value in the Russian Premier League

Eduard Spertsyan of Krasnodar and Luis Henrique of Zenit now share the highest market value in the Russian Premier League (RPL), each valued at 25 million euros, according to Transfermarkt’s latest recalculation following the 2024/25 season. Spertsyan’s value increased by 5 million euros, allowing him to rejoin Henrique at the top of the ranking.

Zenit St. Petersburg experienced the most significant decrease in overall squad value, dropping by 10.6 million euros to a total of 170.7 million euros. Several Zenit players saw their market values decline, including Wendel (-2 million euros, now 18 million euros), Barrios, Glushenkov, Cassierra, Santos, Erakovic, and Karavaev, each losing 1 million euros. Zdelar, Alip, Gorshkov, Akhmetov, and other players also experienced decreases in value.

Nino was a notable exception for Zenit, gaining 1 million euros to reach a value of 11 million euros, making him the most expensive defender in the RPL. Latyshonok also saw an increase of 1 million euros, reaching 4 million euros, while Mantuan’s value rose by 0.5 million euros to 3.5 million euros.

These changes come after Krasnodar secured its first-ever championship title, while Zenit missed out on gold medals for the first time in seven years, finishing in second place.
