St. Petersburg experienced significant rainfall yesterday, with some areas receiving over 30 mm of precipitation. The city’s chief weatherman, Alexander Kolesov, reported on June 10 that the rainfall distribution was uneven across the city.
The highest amounts of rain were recorded in Kronstadt (30.6 mm), Pulkovo (26.5 mm), Lisy Nos (24.2 mm), and Lomonosov (22.9 mm).
The center of St. Petersburg received approximately half the amount of precipitation compared to the southern parts of the city and coastal areas along the Gulf of Finland.
Kolesov noted that the distribution of rainfall was unexpected and difficult to predict. Areas in the southeast of the city and the Kurortny district also experienced significant rainfall, measuring between 26-27 mm.
