Moscow and the Moscow region are bracing for a weekend of rain and wind, according to the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia. Residents can anticipate the arrival of wet weather, with temperatures feeling cooler than the actual readings due to a gusty north wind.

The rainy spell is expected to begin on Thursday, June 12, with light rain and temperatures between 21-23 degrees Celsius in Moscow. A cyclone from the Baltic States will bring heavier rains to the Moscow region on June 13, extending to the capital on June 14.

The temperature is predicted to drop to 16 degrees Celsius on Saturday, June 14. While a slight, short-term rain is anticipated on Sunday, June 15, a slight warming of three to four degrees is expected.

The recent rainy weather has led to an early mushroom season in the Moscow region. Mushroom enthusiasts are already finding porcini mushrooms, with some even gathering full baskets near Noginsk.
