St. Petersburg is bracing for rain beginning later today, June 2nd, as an atmospheric front moves into the region. The “PHOBOS” center reports that the current anticyclone crest will be replaced by this front moving in from the west.
This shift will bring a change from clear skies to dense cloud cover followed by rainfall. The wind will be southeasterly, blowing at 5-10 m/s.
Temperatures in St. Petersburg are expected to reach +20…+22 degrees Celsius, while the Leningrad region will see slightly warmer temperatures of +18…+23 degrees Celsius. Atmospheric pressure will drop to 755 mm Hg, considered below normal.
Residents should also anticipate slightly cooler temperatures and the possibility of further precipitation on Tuesday.
