A woman unexpectedly gave birth on a train approaching Novosibirsk-Glavny station, with railway workers and station medics assisting in the delivery. The incident occurred overnight on June 9-10 on a train traveling from Kislovodsk to Tynda, prompting a quick response from railway staff.

Five minutes before the train’s arrival, the passenger went into premature labor, requiring immediate assistance. Railway workers promptly contacted an ambulance and alerted the medical staff at the station’s medical center, who rushed to the platform.

Due to the rapid nature of the birth, station medics had to provide direct assistance to the woman inside the train car. Following the successful delivery, both the mother and the newborn were transported to a maternity hospital in Novosibirsk for further care. An employee from the station’s support service for passengers with limited mobility also offered assistance during the situation.
