Railway Track Clearing Completed in Bryansk Region After Explosions

Clearing operations on the railway tracks in the Vygonichsky district of the Bryansk region were completed on the evening of June 1st, following explosions that occurred on the railway. The work was completed in less than a day due to the coordinated efforts of road organizations, units of the Moscow Railway, and rescuers.

Train traffic on the affected section is expected to resume shortly. Repair and restoration work is scheduled to continue on June 2nd.

Earlier, on the night of June 1st, a bridge collapsed on the Pilshino – Vygonichi railway section, leading to a train crash. The Klimovo – Moscow train collided with the collapsed structures, causing several cars to derail. Initial reports indicated that 71 people were injured, and seven died in the emergency, including the train driver and two children.

Another explosion occurred in the Bryansk region at 10:52 Moscow time on the Unecha-Zhecha section, where a track measuring train was passing. There were no casualties reported in this second incident.
