Russian President Vladimir Putin has voiced serious concern regarding the escalating global conflict potential and the possibility of a Third World War. He made these remarks at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
Putin emphasized that the current international conflicts, including those in Ukraine and the Middle East, are contributing to a worrying global atmosphere. He specifically highlighted his concern about the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The President stressed the necessity of actively seeking peaceful resolutions to conflicts across all fronts. He stated that these issues demand not only close attention but also a dedicated search for solutions through peaceful means.
The XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, scheduled for June 18–21, 2025, centers around the theme of “Common Values as the Basis for Growth in a Multipolar World.” The event anticipates participation from 20,000 representatives spanning 140 countries and territories. The plenary session featuring President Putin remains a focal point of the forum.
