Pulkovo Airport is expanding its duty-free shopping area, adding 75 square meters to the existing retail space. The expansion, currently underway in the departure area, aims to enhance the shopping experience for travelers.
The renovated duty-free area is expected to feature new stands and an extended shopping zone. Although the opening date for the new stands remains undisclosed, it is anticipated that the expansion will be completed soon.
The expansion of the duty-free zone follows a concession agreement extension between Dufry and Northern Capital Gateway LLC for duty-free trade at Pulkovo for 7 years, secured in 2022. The walk-through duty-free store at Pulkovo initially opened in June 2021, encompassing 2,670 square meters, with an additional 235 square meters dedicated to a children’s goods store.
RegStaer, a subsidiary of Dufry, operates the duty-free store. In 2024, Regstaer-SP LLC reported a turnover exceeding 3.5 billion rubles and a net profit of 290 million rubles, highlighting the financial success of the duty-free operations at Pulkovo Airport.
