Plans for a road construction project in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, the location of two future Gazprom skyscrapers, were submitted for public review on June 11. The project encompasses several streets in the vicinity of the planned towers.
The roadwork will affect the following streets: Vysotnaya Street, from Lakhtinsky Avenue to Vodnaya Street; Vodnaya Street, from Vysotnaya Street to Beregovaya Street; Beregovaya Street, from Vodnaya Street to Polevoy Lane; Polevoy Lane, from Beregovaya Street to Vysotnaya Street; Plyazhevy Lane, from Bobylskaya Street to Vodnaya Street; Bobylskaya Street, from Plyazhevy Lane to an unnamed lane; and the unnamed lane, from Bobylskaya Street to Vodnaya Street.
AO “Synergy” is responsible for developing the planning project. This company is focused on building local infrastructure, including an energy center already under construction. “Synergy” is also undertaking the construction of the two skyscrapers situated between Bobylskaya Street, Polevoy Lane, the planned extension of Beregovaya Street, and Vodnaya Street.
The documentation specifies that tower construction is scheduled from 2025 to 2032. The authors note that interior finishing will take several years following construction, with occupancy planned after 2035.
The transportation plan incorporates ongoing and proposed large-scale construction, including the M-32 highway, interchange, and a metro station.
“Synergy” and the St. Petersburg government have an agreement to develop a business district near the Lakhta Center. The designs for the two towers, standing 555 meters and 703 meters tall, have been presented on multiple occasions, including to the president.
A special zone permitting the construction of unique structures at least 300 meters high has been designated in Lakhta within the draft land use regulations.
