Egg prices in the Zabaykalsky Krai have fallen significantly due to increased production from poultry farms. This development comes amid a backdrop of rising prices in public catering and an overall increase in prices across the region.
In April 2025, prices in the Zabaykalsky Krai saw a modest increase of 0.24% compared to the previous month, March. The annual inflation rate remained relatively stable at 10.21%, closely mirroring the national average of 10.23%.
Food products experienced the most substantial price surge, with annual growth exceeding the general inflation rate. Services saw moderate price increases over the month, but their annual growth was the highest among all sectors. Conversely, non-food product prices declined in April, and their annual growth was less than that of food and services.
Specifically, the cost of ingredients and materials for ice cream production has risen, while the volume of fish caught nationwide has decreased, contributing to the higher costs in public catering.
Communication equipment saw the most significant price decrease among non-food products, dropping by 5.32%. In the service sector, foreign tourism became more affordable due to a stronger ruble and reduced demand, while cellular communication services became more expensive due to rising operational costs for operators.
