A 34-year-old man, Denis Yakimov, is facing charges of murder and robbery following an incident at a factory on Aviastroiteley Street in Novosibirsk. The Kalininsky District Court is currently determining a preventive measure for Yakimov.

The investigation indicates that Yakimov, along with a 44-year-old accomplice, allegedly broke into the commercial organization’s premises between the night of June 1st and 2nd. The pair is suspected of intending to steal construction tools.

According to preliminary information, Yakimov, a welder, was previously employed at the factory and enlisted the help of an acquaintance with a prior criminal record. They allegedly believed the security guard would be intoxicated and thus unaware of their activities.

Yakimov, who reportedly moved to Novosibirsk from Buryatia approximately three years ago, was working as a welder at the Perspektiva factory at the time of the alleged crime. His mother, residing in Buryatia, was informed of his detention by his fiancee.
