A polar bear named Kai was filmed sleeping on an iceberg at the Novosibirsk Zoo, sticking his tongue out at visitors. The footage, captured by a frequent zoo visitor, Sergei Iltyakov, was shared on social media.

Kai and his partner, Gerda, were seen resting in their enclosure. Gerda chose to nap near the pool ladder, while Kai opted for the iceberg.

The video shows Kai initially lying down and covering his eyes with his paw. He then shifted positions, eventually sprawling out completely on the iceberg.

While asleep, Kai relaxed, sticking his tongue out. He briefly lifted his head before resuming his nap on the platform.

The Novosibirsk Zoo is also preparing to open a pavilion with Japanese macaques by the end of August, with the entire Asia complex expected to be completed by the end of October.
