Pedestrian Crossing Blocked by Pipes in Yekaterinburg

A pedestrian crossing in Yekaterinburg, Russia, has been temporarily blocked by large pipes, causing inconvenience for residents. The pipes are located on Volgogradskaya Street, specifically at the intersection of Volgogradskaya Street and Transit Lane, as well as at the intersection of Chkalova Street and Volgogradskaya Street.

The pipes are part of a temporary pipeline installed to facilitate repairs to the main system. The city administration anticipates the work will be completed by September, and the temporary pipeline removed before winter.

Despite the obstruction, the mayor’s office has stated that a passage for pedestrians remains available at the site. The placement of the pipes has been coordinated with the traffic police.

Residents have expressed concerns about accessibility, especially with the approach of winter. They fear that uncleared snow and ice will make navigating the area even more difficult.
