A significant collapse of pavement tiles has occurred at the intersection of Krasny Prospekt and Pisarev Street in Novosibirsk, creating a large hole that spans nearly the entire sidewalk. The incident, reported on June 8th by the “AST-54 Black” Telegram channel, has prompted the immediate fencing off of the affected area to ensure public safety.

The extent of the damage is evident in a photograph circulating online, showing tiles having caved into the cavity below.

Authorities have been notified. As of the time of reporting, the Novosibirsk Mayor’s office has not yet issued a statement regarding the collapse or potential causes.

This incident follows a recent event in the Rodniki microdistrict where a truck became trapped after one of its wheels fell into a manhole.
