Overflowing Trash Cans Observed in Novosibirsk Parks

Overflowing trash cans have become a noticeable issue in Novosibirsk parks, particularly in Narymsky Square and Lenin Square. A local resident, Maria M., reported the problem to the NGS editorial office, highlighting the unsightly accumulation of garbage around the small, clogged trash cans.

The situation, observed on Sunday, June 1st, shows people attempting to dispose of their trash despite the overflowing bins, which leads to garbage accumulating around the cans.

Maria suggests implementing larger, green trash containers as a potential solution to better accommodate the volume of waste generated in these popular areas. She noted the increased number of people using the parks and the visual impact of the overflowing trash.

The Novosibirsk mayor’s office has been contacted for comment on the situation, and this report will be updated upon receiving a response.

This incident follows a recent event on May 31st where a man was seen setting fire to garbage in bins on Krasina Street. The motives for his actions are currently unknown.

Additionally, residents of a building on Dusi Kovalchuk Street had previously complained about garbage accumulation at their container site.
