More than 73,000 individuals have registered for the “This is Our Family” competition since its launch, as announced at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the “Russia – Land of Opportunity” platform on June 9. The application process will conclude on September 14.
The announcement was made by Sergei Kiriyenko, the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia. The supervisory board also approved the competition’s mechanics and discussed the upcoming distance stage tasks.
The distance stage features two components: achievements and tasks. Participants can access these from the start of registration. Tasks include creating a family museum, writing a book about ancestors for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and developing a signature family dish.
According to Andrey Betin, General Director of “Russia – Land of Opportunity,” 60% of registered participants are women, and 40% are men. The competition encompasses all Russian regions, with applications arriving from every corner of the country from the first day of registration.
Family teams represent all 89 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The most active regions are the Central (24%), Volga (21%), Siberian (13%), and North-Western (12%) federal districts. The Ural and Southern federal districts, including the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, each account for 11% of participants. The Far Eastern Federal District represents 5% of applications, and the North Caucasus represents 3%.
