Novosibirsk is set to undergo significant landscaping improvements in 2025, including the replacement of old and dried-up trees throughout the city. The city administration has announced a comprehensive plan to revitalize the urban environment with new plantings.
The initiative began in June with the removal of dead linden trees on Ordzhonikidze Street. Approximately 20 dry trees were felled as part of this initial phase.
Gorzelenkhoz specialists are planning to plant around 30 new linden seedlings to restore the area. This restoration planting aims to rejuvenate the street’s greenery.
Furthermore, the reconstruction of the boulevard along Krasny Prospekt, stretching from Ploshchad Lenina metro station to the Krasny Prospekt station, is underway. As part of this project, MAU “Gorzelenkhoz” is removing hazardous trees and will replace them with 212 large-sized rowan trees.
Pervomaisky Square also saw improvements during an environmental campaign where 10 large-sized coniferous trees were planted with the help of benefactors. This effort contributes to enhancing the green spaces within the city.
