Starting July 1st, Novosibirsk will commence a mass removal of kiosks and other non-stationary objects from the city center, focusing on areas within protected cultural heritage zones.
The city administration plans to demolish approximately 600 objects that do not meet the aesthetic requirements set by the authorities. This action aims to improve the appearance of the city center.
According to the Novosibirsk City Hall, the dismantling process will consider decisions previously made by the demolition commission. The city has already dismantled 415 non-stationary objects since the start of 2025, including 200 kiosks and pavilions.
To support local businesses, the city will postpone the demolition of objects where rent is paid regularly under contract, and the land is not required for city projects until December 31, 2025.
The city previously announced on June 6 that 597 non-stationary objects were slated for removal by the end of 2025.
